How it Works Silicone replacement consists of cutting away any pre existing silicone, cleaning of the silicone lines in preparation for new silicone to be laid. Unfortunately when silicone has mould within it and becomes discoloured it is impossible to clean back to its original condition therefore replacement is essential. Silicone in wet areas such as your shower or around a bathtub stops leaking from occurring making these areas as water tight as possible.
Extra Charges - For removal and replacement of silicone in 1 single shower the minimum pricing is $100 per shower - For the removal and replacement around 1 bath tub the minimum pricing is $150 per bath tub.
Instructions If the area has grout missing in parts please reframe from getting the area wet for a minimum of 24 hours prior to our arrival, moisture coming through holes in the silicone can cause damp to occur under the tiles. Please allow a minimum of 24 hours for fresh silicone to dry properly, silicone colour can also alter slightly during this drying period.
Important Information - Newly laid silicone needs 24 hours to cure and cannot come into contact with water or it may fail. - Please allow for silicone to dry properly within this 24 hour window, the colour of silicone when it is wet in comparison to when it is dry may vary.
